How to Whitelist Stryper News in Your Spam Filter

Unfortunately many Internet service providers have software programs that filter out emails you want to receive including Stryper News. Follow these steps to add us to your "address book" or "whitelist" so your ISP knows you want to receive our email from us in the future.

Please refer to the following instructions to whitelist Stryper News, depending on the filtering solution you use:

AOL  
  1. Go to Keyword "Mail Controls"
  2. Select the screen names we're sending your Fast Break messages to.
  3. Click "Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name".
    1. For AOL version 7.0: In the section for "Exclusion and Inclusion Parameters", include @futuresource.com
    2. For AOL version 8.0: Select "Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains."
      1. Click "Next" until the "Save" button shows up at the bottom.
      2. Click "Save"
    3. For AOL version 9.0: Select "Mail Options"
      1. Pull down to "Address Book"
      2. Click "Add"
      3. In "Screen Name" type news@stryper.com
      4. Click "Save"

Alternatively, you can just send an e-mail to: news@stryper.com, and that will add us to your "People I Know" list automatically. To do this:

  1. Open your latest Stryper News e-mail.
  2. Click the Reply button (it's in the top right corner).
  3. A new email window opens with the wrong address in the "Send To" box.
  4. Replace the address in the Send To box with: news@stryper.com
  5. Click Send Now (in the top right corner).



CleanMyMailbox

If Stryper News is filtered, from the spambox, click on the white "W" icon on the left column of the mailing. When the pop-up window comes up, simply click the Add to Whitelist button.

Alternative whitelisting methods:

  1. Click on the White List button.
  2. Add: news@stryper.com to the bottom of your existing list.
  3. Click the Submit List button.
  1. Click the Subject White List button.
  2. Add: Fast Break for Traders to the bottom of the list on a line by itself.
  3. Click the Submit List button.



Cloudmark SpamNet
  1. Select Cloudmark | Options... from the Cloudmark SpamNet toolbar in Outlook.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Go to the Whitelist tab.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Type: news@stryper.com
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Yes.
  9. Click OK.



Hotmail  
  1. Login to your Hotmail or MSN account
  2. Click on "Options" link, on the main menu tabs,
  3. Click on "Safe List" (under the heading "Mail Handling")
  4. In the space provided enter fastbreak@hotmail.com.
  5. Click "Add"
  6. When you see the address you entered in the Safe List box, click OK.

If your Fast Break messages are still being delivered to your Junk Mail folder, select the message and click 'This is not Junk Mail' to avoid having Fast Break sent to the Junk Mail folder in the future.




Mailblocks
  1. Click the Addresses tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. Type: news@stryper.com
  4. Make sure 'Accept Mail From This Address' is selected under Receiving Options.
  5. Uncheck 'Display in People Picker' under Other options.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Click OK.



MailShield
  1. Click Friends from the toolbar.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Type: news@stryper.com
  4. Click OK.



MailWasher
  1. Click Tools, then Blacklist & Friends.
  2. Click Add... on the right, the Friends list side.
  3. Make sure Plain email address is selected.
  4. Type: news@stryper.com
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK.



McAfee Spamkiller
  1. Click Friends from the sidebar.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Type: news@stryper.com
  4. Click OK.



OddPost
  1. Check your 'Probably Spam' folder.
  2. If you see that Stryper News was incorrectly filtered out, select it, and click the 'Move to Inbox and Mark as Not Spam' button.



Outlook  

** Outlook 2003 **

  1. From the menu, select Actions | Junk E-mail | Junk E-mail Options.
  2. Go to the Safe Senders tab.
  3. Make sure Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List is checked.
  4. Click OK.

** Outlook 2000 **

  1. From the menu, select Tools | Address Book.
  2. Click New | New Contact.
  3. In the Display field, type "Fast Break".
  4. Under Email Addresses, type news@stryper.com and click Add.
  5. Click OK.



SpamAssassin
  1. Add the following entry to your user_prefs file, which is found in the .spamassassin subdirectory on your web/mail server:
    whitelist_from news@stryper.com
  2. Save the user_prefs file or move the updated copy to your .spamassassin subdirectory.
  3. If you have no user_prefs file in this subdirectory, create one:

SpamButcher
  1. Click the Configure button.
  2. Go to the Known Senders tab.
  3. Click Add under 'Known Good Senders and Recipients'.
  4. Type: news@stryper.com
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK.



Spameater Pro
  1. Click Filters from the sidebar.
  2. Click the Approved Senders tab.
  3. Click Add Filter.
  4. Type: news@stryper.com under Address.
  5. Choose 'Full Email Address' under Address Type.
  6. Select Email Domain.
  7. Click OK.



Spam Inspector
  1. Select Spam Inspector, then 'Manage Friends List' from either the Spam Inspector toolbar or from the Outlook menu.
  2. Make sure Email is selected under 'Add a New Friend'.
  3. Type: news@stryper.com
  4. Click the >> button.
  5. Click Close.



Spam Interceptor
  1. Follow the Trusted link under > Authentication Lists.
  2. Enter the email address: news@stryper.com
  3. Click Add.



SpamPal
  1. Click on the SpamPal system tray icon with the right mouse button.
  2. Click 'Add to Whitelist' from the menu.
  3. Type: news@stryper.com
  4. Click Add.



Spam Sleuth
  1. Select File, then Configure.
  2. Go to the Friends category.
  3. Make sure Active is checked.
  4. Type: news@stryper.com on a line by itself in the entry field.
  5. Click OK.



Yahoo  
  1. Open your Yahoo mailbox
  2. Click on "Mail Options"
  3. Click on "Filters"
  4. Click on "Add Filter"
  5. In the top row, labeled "From Header:" make sure "Contains" is selected in the pull-down menu.
  6. Click in the text box next to that pull-down menu, then enter news@stryper.com
  7. At the bottom, where it says "Move the message to:" select "Inbox" from the pull-down menu.
  8. Click the "Add Filter" button again.

If Stryper News has been filtered to your "bulk" folder, simply open the message and click on the "This is not Spam" link next to the "From" field.




Other

If Stryper News is being filtered, try adding news@stryper.com to your Address Book or Contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your 'inbox' or forwarding the message to yourself.

If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP's technical support and ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from news@stryper.com.

Domain: If they need to know the domain we're mailing from, tell them: futuresource.com
